Charli XCX Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Her Own Identity in Mockumentary Preview

Charli XCX is preparing for a substantial cinematic presence in 2026, beginning with the mockumentary titled The Moment.

Throughout the movie, Charli embodies what she refers to as a twisted version of her own persona.

It’s the realest depiction of the music industry that I’ve ever seen, the performer remarked.

She clarified in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, however the inspiration came from the demand to create one.

A Sneak Peek into The Film

The debut trailer, released on Thursday, mixes authentic footage from her live performances with imagined backstage scenes.

The Moment is overseen and co-authored by her collaborator, who revealed that the story focuses on a reality where Charli opted for alternate decisions during the promotion of her chart-topping release Brat.

Additionally, she agreed to star in the actress’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

I’m thoroughly loving my cinematic path, Charli stated. I’m highly enthusiastic at the moment in acting, and I always want to do things that inspire me.

Soundtrack Involvement

The month of February will also bring the release of Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include fresh tracks from Charli.
